As the internet and technologies based on the internet are emerging year by year, the business industry has seen a tremendous growth. One of the main reasons for it could be outsourced. Now, outsourcing is a process of getting your work done by any other company or individual, irrespective of state or country and paying them. It could be any task of a company like accounting, design and manufacturing, sales and marketing, technical assistance, customer services, web and software development, etc.
In the past two decades, many outsourcing companies had also flourished in India. There are hundreds of companies that are providing various services to the companies situated in other parts of the world. The services include from Business Process Services (BPS) to web development. A survey was conducted and the top 20 outsourcing companies in India came out.
1-Genpact: Started in the year 1997, Genpact has become the largest business process outsourcing company in India. It serve around 800 clients throughout the world. In India, it provide services like Analysis, Research, Consulting, Risk management Services, etc. and have ten delivery centers across. It has 67000+ employees around the world
2-Tata Consultancy Services BPO: TCS BPO comes second after Genpact and is a subsidiary of TATA group, India. It has near about 34000 professionals working on it. It has achieved a new position in the market by passing the $1 billion mark for its revenues. It was ranked on top in 2013, by NASSCOM.
3-Serco Global Services Ltd: Headquartered in UK has its corporate office in Gurugram Haryana, in India. It has around 60,000+ professionals working across the globe and 30,000+ in India. It has its 43 delivery centers in 21 cities in India. The company has a global turnover of around $1 billion.
4-Aegis Limited: It is one of the leading outsourcing company that is owned by Essar Group, an MNC based in India. It has turnover of around $700 million. It is headquartered in Mumbai, India and is present in 43 locations across 9 countries with an employee base of around 40,000+ people.
5-WNS Global Services: WNS Global Services is headquartered in Mumbai Maharashtra, India is a global outsourcing service provider with more than 200 clients globally and locally. On no.5 position, it has $616 million annual revenue and an employee base of 25,000+ people.
6-Wipro: Wipro is an Indian IT company that entered outsourcing business in 2002. It is headquartered in Bengaluru. The company has $490 million annual revenues with around 21,000 working professionals. It acquires no.6 in the list.
7-Infosys BPO Limited: Infosys BPO is a subsidiary of Infosys ltd. that came into outsourcing business since 2002. It is headquartered in Bengaluru, India .Being on no.7, it has 12 delivery centers in India. It has nearly 24000 working employees and generates $470 million of annual revenues.
8-Aditya Birla Minacs: Aditya Birla Minacs is a subsidiary of Aditya Birla Corp. It acquired stakes in Minacs in 2007 and renamed it. Since 9 years, the company reached to the turnover of $438 million and 21,000 of employees. It is headquartered in Bengaluru, India
9-HCL BPO: The HCL BPO started its operations in 2003 and is headquartered in Noida, India. It has now a turnover up to $200 million. It provides services in finance, supply chain management and human resource.
10-Firstsource Solutions Limited: Being last in the list, Firstsource has turnover of $138 million and around 26,000 employees. Headquartered in Mumbai, it has spread its market across India, Ireland, Philippines and the UK.
11-Mastek: Mastek Limited is a pioneer IT technology provider in India. Its global headquarter is in Mumbai, India with offices also in the UK and the US. It has more than 1500 employees working and six delivery centers in India.
12-Hexaware: Hexaware Technologies limited came into existence in 1990.It is a Navi Mumbai based IT and BPO service provider company. It offers software services in Banking and Financial services, Health care and Insurance.
