Flipkart vs Amazon

Earlier in the day, Flipkart announced FlipkartGaming Online Championship (FGOC). Targeted at the gaming community in India, this is a month long online tournament being held between 3rd June and 11 July, 2016.

Recently, at the launch of Moto G4 smartphone, Flipkart and Amazon got into a Twitter clash with #SoreLoserFlipkart trending. Tiger Global Management, the largest investor in Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart, reduced its stake in the rival company Amazon by about two-third in the January-March 2016 quarter. 2016 has seen some major slash down in the valuation of Indian e-commerce giant.

According to the study by global research firm Ipsos, on India’s top 10 most influential brands, Flipkart ranked 7th, while Amazon occupied 8th place.

Earlier this month, Indian conglomerate Tata's entered the e-commerce market with the launch of TataCLIQ which will only insentify the Indian e-commerce war further.
