Inspiring Indian Innovation award 2015 announced to honour entrepreneurs

Promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology, India Gadget Expo announced to honour entrepreneurs with 'Inspiring Indian Innovation Award'. The award ceremony will take place at India Gadget Expo (IGE) to be held in Hyderabad from September 18 to 21 at HITEX Convention Centre. The award is conceptualised to honour Indian innovators and recognise their commitment and dedication to promote India as an Innovation hub, Telangana IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan, told reporters in Hyderabad.

"The Award will ignite creative minds and encourage entrepreneurs and start-ups to think beyond obvious. Entrepreneurs and start-ups must keep innovating to boost domestic production of electronic and tech devices", Ranjan said. Telangana government is proud to associate with this initiative which will serve as a platform to recognise talent and innovation in our country, he said. "The objective behind the initiative is to motivate the next big ideas, driven by the power of technology. We need to create incubation centres for developing Systemic Innovation Engagement Models", he said.

The awards will be given to innovators under two categories of Enterprise and Consumer devices for Best Innovation, Best startup (early stage), Best startup (growth stage), Best Social impact product, Best student IoT project, the organisers said. India Gadget Expo will showcase over 1000 gadgets, 300 plus exhibitors from 12 countries. It will serve as a platform for over 75 start-ups to showcase their innovative gadgets, they said. The four-day event is expected to witness a footfall of around 1 lakh visitors and participants across the world from varied segments including global investors, CEOs and managing directors, technology professionals.
