NatureConnect - Responsible Outdoor Eco-Adventures Startup - Meet Sidd, Alok and Ajay

Siddharth , Alok and Ajay are childhood friends, they recall how they grew up in the hills and forests of India’s Garhwal Himalaya’s.

Siddharth captained large shipping vessels globally, transporting Crude, Passengers, Timber, Coal across continents . Alok headed the finance function of a large IT company. Ajay has been a Trainer conducting programs for large corporates. “Outdoors and Adventures” connected the three of them and they decided to launch Nature Connect.

Nature Connect is India’s first Responsible Outdoor Eco-Adventure Company based on principles of Fair Trade, LNT (Leave No Trace), Hiring -Training-Employing only Local Village Youth and maximum contribution to the conservation of biodiversity, wilderness and natural heritage.

Camp Xterra – In the Himalayas™ is their flagship property, perched at 6,500 feet with a 180^. Panoramic view of snow clad Himalayas, inside an apple orchard surrounded by a dense virgin alpine forest. The Camp is equipped with modern utilities; Alpine tents with beds , mattress ,sleeping bags , table , bean bags , modern toilets, kitchen and dining area. Strictly organic food – both vegetarian and non-vegetarian- is prepared and served in hygienic conditions. The days are bright and sunny and nights are cooler with temperature ranging between 26 degrees in summers to 2.3 degrees during winters. The entire Camp site is fenced, safe and secure, offering a wide range of adventure activities and training programs for people from varied walks of life & age groups. The camp is managed by local village youth who have be carefully selected and train by the formidable team of Sidd, Alok and Ajay.
