Bangalore based CropEx Technology raises INR 2 Million from Seeders

Thursday September 01, 2011 , 2 min Read

CropEx harnesses ICT for the agricultural sector by combining the networks of ERP and BI around rural India. The startup equips farmers with latest information and technology to maximise their produce and take part in trade efficiently. Also they provide retailers information on price, availability, quality, harvesting date and traceability of crop back from fork to farm. In a short span of time CropEx has managed to get into an MOU with Bharti Delmonte and other 2 big players. CropEx handles the online farm management and traceability of crops for its clients.Led by two young techie entrepreneurs, Krishna Kumar and Kunal Prasad, the venture is already seeing validation in the market and the investment by Seeders endorses the idea.

Co Founder Krishna ( TechSparks Finalist this year) is happy with this development, "we are getting a lot of queries from potential customers, to scale the operations we needed some cash infusion, with Seeders coming on board we will be able to execute many more assignments simultaneously. Also Seeders is backed by entrepreneurial team and the alignment of mindset and approach is ideal."

YourStory wishes team CropEx all the best and hope to see them address crop traceability issue in India on a rapid fire mode.
