Genpact bags deal from GE HealthCare
Genpact has announced a new multi-year agreement with GE HealthCare to transform and manage its US leasing and lending operations. The collaboration aims to leverage Genpact’s digital technology solutions, specifically its business-process-as-a-service (BPaaS) operating model, to strengthen GE HealthCare's capabilities for customers acquiring new medical equipment through its existing suite of equipment loan and lease products.
The BPaaS operating model is integrated with Genpact’s AI-powered platform, Genpact Cora, offering a scalable and agile solution to help meet the company’s needs.
According to Genpact, this solution has an open architecture, integrating generative AI and other emerging digital technologies. Adopting this platform gives GE HealthCare access to essential business benchmarks and insights and key performance indicators, with upgrades and enhancements available to meet evolving market and customer demands flexibly.
Hitachi Vantara records strong demand from India market
Hitachi Vantara, an infrastructure, data management and digital solutions company, has registered 63% year-on-year (YoY) revenue growth for its data infrastructure business in India in FY22, with 108% growth in its product revenue.
In Q1 FY23 alone, Hitachi Vantara recorded 55% YoY revenue growth while its product revenue rose by 88%. In this quarter, services revenue recorded a 16% YoY increase. Hitachi Vantara India aims to achieve at least 50% growth in 2023, double its revenue by 2024, and achieve a minimum of 20% revenue growth per year till 2030 in India. The company sees substantial growth potential in hybrid cloud, portfolio expansion beyond storage, and expansion via its dynamic partner ecosystem, while retaining its robust position in the banking sector.
“As Digital India continues to gain momentum, we have witnessed tremendous growth for our business. With significant investment in India's data centres, we envision unique opportunities by collaborating with cloud service providers,” said Hemant Tiwari, Managing Director, India, Hitachi Vantara.

Pure Storage expands partnership with Microsoft
has announced an expanded, multi-year strategic product and go-to-market partnership with Microsoft that brings its storage capabilities to native Microsoft Azure services by leveraging Azure’s new Premium SSD v2 and introducing them to Azure VMware Solution (AVS) in Preview.
According to Pure Storage, through this partnership, businesses can optimise their AVS costs, accelerate and derisk cloud migrations, improve data protection capabilities, flexible disaster recovery platforms and simplification of storage strategy.
“This expanded partnership between Pure Storage and Microsoft creates a significant milestone, ushering in a new age of cloud migration, and ultimately driving faster, more cost-effective adoption of cloud services,” said Ajay Singh, Chief Product Officer, Pure Storage.
Zoho announces winners of low-code hackathon
Zoho Corporation has announced the winners of the third edition of its global Low-code Hackathon. The Hackathon, which took place over three months starting from May 2023, was free for all to participate. The participants created industry-agnostic solutions to real-world problems using the company's flagship low-code platform,
Creator.The participants of the Hackathon also had the opportunity to enrol as certified developers to monetise their applications using Zoho Marketplace. This year, the top three winners emerged from India and took home gifts worth $10,000. Raju R K, Developer at Kinara Capital, from Chennai, bagged the first position with his healthcare and hospital management solution. Sahaya Angel Alexander, a homemaker from Nagercoil, came in second for building a course management solution to help educational institutes. Snehal Bordekar, Technology Architect from Mumbai, bagged the third spot with a social-impact-focused solution.
The annual Low-code Hackathon, which started in 2021, has garnered over 2,700 global registrations over the last three years. Developers from 15 countries, including India, the US, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the UK, Argentina, and Canada, participated in the Hackathon this year.
Honeywell launches Airfield ground lighting mfg facility in Gurugram
has launched Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) manufacturing facility in Gurugram, India. AGL is a Make in India product engineered and manufactured completely in India. AGL plays a crucial role in airport operations and is subject to comprehensive safety and compliance regulations by global aviation standards and regulatory bodies.
Honeywell’s AGL’s will be manufactured at its 41,000-square-foot facility in Gurugram; the solution represents the entire set of ground-installed luminaires and related ancillaries that help aircraft land and find their way to the stand—helping enable uptime even in adverse weather conditions.
The Honeywell range of low-wattage, LED-based lighting solutions helps airports improve operations and maintain compliance, while also helping to decrease their energy use and adding to the longevity of the assets.
